• We see the erosion of our Constitutional liberties as Americans as a threat to our future freedoms.
• We are concerned over the escalation of debt that we, our children, and our grandchildren will have to bear.
• We see our nation's founding principles and the original intent of our founding fathers being undermined by runaway government.

We come from all parts of Central Oregon. We represent several different political parties, and many of us are independents. We are retirees, veterans, business owners, professionals, students, homeowners, young voters, parents, grandparents---we are tax-paying citizens of Oregon who are fed up with our state and federal governments.  We are all volunteers.

How did we find one another?  In true grassroots fashion, we found one another by word of mouth as well as from a variety of young organizations that have formed in the last two years as a response to out-of-control government.  These groups include  Americans for Prosperity/Oregon, Patriotic Resistance, Project 912, Tea Party Patriots, and the Oregon Tea Party. 

A great number of us were not affiliated with any organization until the first (April 15, 2009) rally, or the second (July 4, 2009) rally. The majority of Central Oregonians involved in the Tea Party Movement have never been in any kind of protest or public rally until the rallies, town halls, and other public events of 2009.  A great need was seen for involvement, and the people responded in a significant and unprecedented way. As we often say, "People came out of the woodwork".

We invite you to join us. Together, we will be a stronger voice calling out from the High Desert of Oregon as we demand accountability and transparency from our local, state, and federal governments.
